Today is day 3 of the parasite cleanse and I’m feeling good.
The medicine I need to take during the first five days affects me surprisingly little and my energy is still really good. The difficult part is the morning routine: getting up and immediately chewing and swallowing 1 tablespoon of fresh papaya seeds (bitter as f***) and after that a paste of crushed curry leaves and ground turmeric.
Then follows herbal pills, ghee with plant-based milk, a breakfast smoothie containing pomegranate skin powder and finally a digestive herbal pill before it’s all over for this day. By this time I feel like I’ve done half a marathon (not that I probably ever will..) and spent three hours doing food prep in my kitchen. Oh well, need to get those little ‘pets’ out of me.
Besides that, I’m currently living a highly unglamorous life – waiting for many big things to potentially fall into place this week, which I’ll tell you more about once I’ve crossed that finish line. Most of my current InstaStories are of me walking to the gym with #greasyhair, only because I’m too lazy to get all dolled up for myself if I’m spending a day in front of the computer.
Though, today I did make the effort as a good friend is coming over. Roasted pumpkin, cashew nut sour cream, guacamole, a green salad and sweet potato fries are on the menu.
