Papaya Smoothie

Papaya is one of the best natural laxatives out there and it tastes great (which is not always the case with things that boost your bowel movement...). If you're brave enough, you might want to save the seeds and chew them first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. They are amazing detoxifiers, though don't tell me I didn't warn you about the taste. It's not for the faint hearted...

Preparation time: 5 minutes | 2 helpings

Ingredients

½ large fresh papaya (300g)
100 ml plant-based milk
1 lemon
½ frozen banana

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Scoop out the seeds of the papaya. Cut off the skin and place the meat in a blender
  2. Add plant-based milk, the juice of one lemon and half a frozen banana
  3. Blend for 10-20 seconds and serve immediately
